Gambling isn't just casinos, chips, and cards— it's entertainment! It can even be a thrilling lifestyle of consequences and excitement. Even with the positive aspect of it, over time, gambling has impacted society and people's psychological well-being negatively as well.
Gambling has been a way to gain income, as it involves betting money or something of value. Studies in the Philippines have shown that locals within the lower class, unemployed individuals, graduates, and undergraduates would join the activities as they view it as the fastest way to get money for their needs.
This game of chance is thrilling, but it can lead to the downfall of impulsivity and loss of control, with chances of the players utilizing gambling as escapism.

Even if gambling is usually for adults, the youth has a very high risk for exposure. There are advertisements in different forms of media and practices wherein the integration of gambling-like mechanics is placed in video games and gachapon (which is hard to miss!)
The youth are very susceptible to these marketing influences and gambling integration as their biological brains are still developing. Awareness and education about gambling's effects should be properly emphasized.
